Recovering Table Chair Seats November 12, 2012

My Aunt Julie gave us this wrought iron table with a glass top and four chairs. The chair pads were originally an off white color but they aged and have a couple of spots chewed through by my second cousins dog.

So after picking up the chairs my mom and I went to Joann’s and searched the red tag fabric shelves. We found an elegant brown with champagne scroll type design and blue flower bursts.

The following day we removed all the seat pads and took them into the house. We removed the original piece of fabric that sealed the bottom because it was in good shape and glued in new foam so the holes were filled. Then we placed the fabric on the table and stapled it over the existing original fabric. Once that was stapled we put the seal piece back on.

They look much more elegant now and they are not as feminine as I would have originally done, so my husband is happy too.

Now we just have to scotch guard them and reattached them to the chair. All ready for the new home!
